Currently, I am using my super simple (and cheap) 0.15 spiral bound notebook I decorated last fall. Notebooks keep everything together and organized. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Youth Ministry at Bible Baptist Church, 525 W. The simple answer is all you really need is your Bible, a pen and a piece of paper but I would definitely recommend using a notebook instead of just random sheets of paper. Which is great because we now have so many options, but also overwhelming to figure out which one is right for us. Using a journaling bible helps one to focus more and not get distracted or disengaged from the verse that inspired the notes you are taking, which is much more convenient than using a separate notebook. In the last couple of years, a TON of Journaling Bibles have come out on the market. A journaling bible is a diary that has wide margins on the sides so that you can freely jot down notes as you get inspired while reading the word. For myself, and most of my Bible journaling buddies, there is something special about having your art directly next to the verse or chapter you are meditating on. A great way to get started is to use whatever Bible you have on hand and do your journaling in a separate notebook/journal!īut, I will say that having an actual Journaling Bible is really nice to have, and worth the money especially if you like the idea of the art directly in your Bible. They have thicker pages than a normal Bible, and wide margins (or full blank pages)! Do I need to spend the money on another Bible?Ībsolutely not! There are no rules when it comes to Bible journaling. A Journaling Bible is a Bible specifically made for note-taking and journaling.
